Summary: Collection consists of photocopies of 10 original documents: seven letters received by Webb from various individuals, two letters involving New Mexico Territorial Governor Abraham Rencher and his salary, and one blank certificate for completed work issued by the Territorial Secretary of New Mexico. Two 1857 letters to Webb from Sam Ellison discussing political candidates such as Miguel A. Otero, the political activities of Archbishop Lamy, state-wide election results, and the shooting of Franke Green by Jose Sacon. An 1858 letter to Webb from Franke Green discusses alterations to the Exchange Hotel in Santa Fe and semi-monthly mail delivery from Santa Fe to El Paso.
